The Rumors Are True

Looks like K and I will be a two-NDS household not long after we get married, after all. (Oh, if your browser and OS are not properly configured to show Japanese characters, it’s likely that the page will end up looking like goat anus. Link warning: coarse language. In the second link. Not the first one. I mean, the first link might have coarse language in it, but I don’t know enough Japanese to really tell for sure.)

Windows Installation Status Update

Lawdy A clean install of Windows XP Professional with Service Pack 2 on a Dell Inspiron 8200 laptop has the following updates available:

  • 36 Critical Updates
  • 11 “Optional” Updates
  • 1 Hardware Update

One of those Critical Updates is an update to one of the Optional Updates, and must be discovered by running Microsoft Update a second time.

Another of those Critical Updates is an update to the Critical Update to the Optional Update, and must be discovered by running Microsoft Update a third time.

The worst part is that apt-get is broken under Windows XP. It doesn’t even seem to have the executable in the path. I had to go through their website for all of this.

;)

Only $52.00?

Half the cost I’d expected!

I found the FF7:AC Cloud w/Fenrir toy online, for a lot less than what I expected to pay to have my import store get me one. Hmm… still probably not worth it to me, but it might be worth it to one of you.

GROW CUBE

Post Haste

Here is another game for you: try to choose the elements in the correct order, and be rewarded with the completed animation of this Rube Goldberg-esque ecosystem. There’s not much pressure, and enough feedback to allow you to improve each time you try. (Write down and analyze your combinations, and you should be able to get very far in a few iterations. I used a spreadsheet, but I’m a nerd.)

Once you’re done with that, he has a lot of other games as well. He’ll even give you an extra game, if you donate!
