SquidCam

Freeware Discovery of the Day

Try SquidCam, if you need some videoconferencing software in a pinch. It’s multiplatform (but not Even Unto Linux, sadly) and more or less Just Works. Also, it has “Squid” in the name.

We <3 Katamari GET!

Now to finish work so I can play it…

Now I’ve played it a bit, so here’s what I think.

  1. You should still play Katamari Damacy first. (If you don’t have the $20 to spare… I don’t know what to say about that.)
  2. This isn’t a replacement of the original, but an expansion.
  3. The new game modes are cool. (There now seem to be at least two game objectives for most levels. Sweet! And yes, you can play them forever like before.)
  4. The entire game is yet another LSD trip, but cheaper and with fewer lasting side-effects. (Also, it’s probably legal where you are to play Namco games. Check with your local police or magistrate if you’re not sure.)
  5. It’s worth the $30.

But actually, all you really need to know is this:

According to the article…

Looks like nope!

And, as one of the three satisfied Nintendo DS owners on the continent of North America, I’m confident that they’ll put yet another unconventional interface to excellent use. (Trust me, the touch screen on the DS is really well-done…)
